XCSoar is now running Alpha on Android platforms. It should be released stable
within the new few months. A little late for stable version this summer, but
definitely coming soon. XCSoar 6.1 has lots of improvements on usability,
stability and speed.

Why is that important? Because the selection of Android devices is large.

For example:

        - Dell Streak - This has a larger screen and better daylight reading
than most old iPaqs
        - Notion Ink Adam - PiqelQ Screen (transflective, like Kindle, direct
sunlight reading) - although too large for cockpits

And lots more coming out all the time. PQ have even talked recently about a 7"
screen, instead of the current 10" - that would be a good size.

You can download Android XCSoar now, and it runs pretty well (no crashes, but
some of the graphics are broken, e.g units).
