Have to agree, with probably 1500 "high" aero tows most using CG release.
New Castle, the accident site which started the concern about aerotow rope
breaks, is an excellent ridge site. Do not know if there were ridge conditions
(and rotor) on Sunday, but many of the optional landing fields are pretty small
and there are a lot of trees.

know of: 1008.7k on the ridge, and 16 pilots completed it. The link below has a
