Peter, It would seem that you missed my write-up on your subject line, so firstly I suggest that you peruse my article in Gliding Australia, from about 18 mths ago - it may have been Issue 3 of the mag? Maurice Little died in a glider crash, but I think his firm - ITM (International Trade Management), in Tullamarine will still import a glider for you. I have no idea of their current expertise. As I said in my article you need a reliable agent. Maurice told me there are literally thousands of Customs and Shipping brokers around; any one of which will organize the transport (and the much else involved), for you. The operative word in the2nd last sentence is RELIABLE: The word COMPETENT also springs to mind!
The points that other postees on this list have made in response to your question are all good, but are (mostly), not directly relevant to "transport". Note however that Gary Brasher told me about 12 mths ago that he cannot now do this work - a great pity. What is the relevance of your last question? If you are NOT a "tyre kicker", feel free to contact me (off line please).
