I fell in love with soaring in that glider, N131SS "GV". George flew the 1000k on the Appalachian ridges of Pennsylvania. He wrote the introduction for Tom Knauff's 1981 book "Ridge Soaring The Bald Eagle Ridge" about that flight. The book may not be available in Australia.
