No.   I don't consider aliases either useful, or important, enough to
waste time on fixing weirdness.   I had seen that one before, and unless
a script using it ends right there (where the alias is used) it works as
expected.   It affects command line usage more (as the shell won't
give up on PS2 prompting for more until it gets a command) but I
think it unlikely that anyone would use an alias like that from the
command line.   Hence not worth bothering with...
