Changing anyone's work without explicit permission is both wrong and
illegal. That's the point. Anything we have for which we either cannot
find the original author, or for which the author doesn't give permission,
cannot be used and would have to be rewritten. That's what Jean was
saying.

I'm trying to decide of a sensible way that a license page could come
about. One possible way is to have a folder called "user guide CC version"
and people can put their own work there, directly. So, for example, I
would only put there documents that I wrote myself. Or documents for
which I have written permission from the author .

You see, we'll have to deal with the fact that we will not be able to
contact every author that has contributed. Therefore, some ammount of
rewriting will have to happen. Though, as Jean pointed out, those
documents would also be the ones that need to be rewritten *anyways* for
OOo 2.0.

I think that the folder idea is probably the easiest way to have a smooth
change over. But I also think I'm getting ahead of myself. Before we talk
about the *how* to change, we need to establish whether a change is
desirable. Look at the pros and cons.

Later today I'll start a new thread to discuss that.

Cheers,
