Look, everything we do here is ultimately based on what we *think* is best for most of our audience. I can't read minds, and I haven't done a survey. I simply report on my empirical observations as a mathematecian, a math student, and a math instructor. This is not about *my* habits or preferenes. I don't use Math in Writer, or Impress for that matter. I prefer LaTeX. But I can see what my friends and professors do and report on that empirical observation.
