I'm impressed, you got it essentially right up to the "and". The last bit was very coloquial (from Venezuela). Hhhmm... I'm not sure how to translate it. The most direct translation would be "we're even", but in English that has a negative connotation that the original doesn't have. It roughly means "we're the equal".
The word "par" can be translated as either "even" or "pair". Which makes sense, since the words "even" and "pair" are related.
