I just made the alternate front page:

And if you go to front7.html and click on either the image or the Enter
link you're taken to the alt page.

Jean, could you look at the alt page and tell me if you think it's
alright? (save for the search engine issue). The booter is not
multi-lingual, but I'll just wait for Marko to make it multi-lingual the
Plone way, or show me how to do it.
