This one is identical to the Lulu book but without the front and back covers of the printed book.

I'm considering replacing the PDF formatted for full-size paper (the one that's on the Docs site as well as ours) with this one, instead of trying to fix the full-size one. What do you think? Is that a good, bad, or indifferent idea? It means less work for me, but OTOH it won't be updated every time we revise a chapter.

I have found that I am unable to find 6*9 paper.

You don't need it. Just print on ordinary paper, whether that is 8-1/2"x11" or A4.

Just a thought on having the format so that each chapter comes out of the printer separately (so plug ups donot ruin the whole book) and that I can use regular 8.5*11 paper with 2 pages on one side and 2 on the other, fold and viola a booklet.

I have only two format choices for Lulu (since we want to use their global distribution service): full size (8.5x11) or 6x9. Making a different size for other purposes is a lot of work, which is why I've chosen to put the Lulu-formatted book in place of the 8.5x11 formatted book on the Docs website.

The amount of work involved in producing a full book is more than it should be, due to some serious bugs in master documents that have caused errors in cross-references and restarting of list numbering in compiled books (but not in individual chapters). I am considering altenatives, such as making one huge file of all the chapters, but so far I haven't made the time to test this and see what other problems that might cause.

If someone else wants to take the source files and do some other formats for the book, they are welcome to do so!
