This is my point. Start with it as an outline/guideline and try the steps out to see if they work and modify them as needed. I have also tried to find MS tutorials online for the same task (like DataPilot vs. PivotTable) for guidance.

Have a nice day,

I am currently writing the DataPilot (or PivotTable in Excel) chapter, and I have never used one before. One way to start is just to copy the on-line paste it into the template and test it, fix it, and add pictures. I find also that I learn a lot that way. :)

Be careful about using the on line help...I have found enough problems
with it that I always check things out myself. Sometimes I even have to
go to the OOo-dev or OOo-Users lists to get the correct information.

But it is a good place to start...

And, if you do find a problem with the online help file an issue.

Hi Peter,

I think I'll start by reviewing the chapter on Styles and the chapter on charts and graphs.

In the meantime, I'll do some learning about scenarios and goal seek and let you know if I feel qualified to take a shot a writing that chapter.
