My apologies if this has reached the list already, as I have not received
my copy of it back yet. But below is what I tried to send earlier:

I have been hiding in the background for the last eight months as I sought
to court a wife. During that time I have also waited for someone else to
beging writing this guide. I would have been very happy to help with the peer
review of whatever was written.
I'm not sure that I know enough yet about the ins and outs of Base, but
someone has to start the writing. So, that is what I am going to do. I trust
that others will look closely at whatever I write and make constructive
criticisms where they are needed. I have much to learn as I progress in this
task.
From the outline, it seems to me that the preface should be one of the
last things written because it its reader to where in the Guide  to find the
information desired. Writing it last just seems to be the more sensible thing
to do.
My goal is to have the Introducing Base chapter written by January 15,
2008. I also want to have an additional chapter ready by the 15th of each
succeeding month. If at all possible, I would like for others to review each
chapter during the first two weeks after it is submitted. That will give me
approximately two weeks each month to concentrate completely upon the chapter
I am then writing.
