I suppose that one of us could wipe out your old account and you could
start again from scratch with whatever new username/PW you want. We
could delete any other unused accounts. I don't see how having an
added account or three would hurt things. We're not that busy, and
most of the accounts are already dormant...

That isn't necessary now. You found my user name and email address and
someone (or some automatic something) sent my my password, and I have
access now. (I used to manage departmental servers and having dormant
accounts tended to be a bother. So I wanted to use my old one. )
My issue now is permissions. I wrote some stuff on my personal page but
it won't let me read it. As students, we used to joke about "write only
memory", and this seems to be that situation. (Of course there _is_
"write only 'memory'" -- output registers of a kind -- but this is
different.)
