Given my artistic sense I should not really comment :-)

I wouldn't mind something like the screen shown when you close all the
documents in OOo 3.0Beta 2 but leave the framework opened. I would like to
keep the wavy line on the left, replacing "welcome to" with the user guide
name and "OpenOffice.org" with the title of the chapter.
We could also keep the icons of the various applications or have some
stylised seagulls.

I am not sure if this list accepts attachments, if not I will upload the
screenshot on OOoAuthors.
