Could you tell me what is the best way to begin? Thanks.

Hello Barbara,

Welcome onboard!

I can give you the author role and with that the possibility of
accessing the restricted areas of oooAuthors as well as uploading
documents.
However I would need to know the user name you chose when you registered.
A private email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] will do.

I will be travelling today so I guess I will only be able to give you
the role this evening (evening in GMT+1), but I will let you know when
it is done.

I guess that for proofreading all you really need to read is the style guide
http://oooauthors.org/en/authors/userguide3/res3/style_guide_V2.odt

In case you cannot access it let me know and I will send it to your
private email address.

Cheers,

Michele
Her author role was already assigned...

Michele,

I finally got m4 installed after four clean installs. Don't know why it would not take the first three times. I had performed a complete series of utility testing all four times.

Started in copyediting Writer Guide chapter1. I see that the body text size in the template is now 14 point. Is that for regular readers or for assisted (visually handicapped) usage?

I noticed that the table text was set up for vertical alignment. It looked a bit weird so I manually set all of the cells to centered vertical alignment. Did we want the tables to be top aligned?

Is there a means to set the OOOTableText paragraph style to be vertically aligned for a table as part of the style definition? FrameMaker has an option to vertically align their paragraph tags when the text is used within table cells. Is there a similar option available with OOo? I manually selected all the table cells and set them to be vertically centered en masse. Is there a means to automatically vertically center all the table cells--sort of like a table style?

I also noticed that one table I just edited was not aligned with the margins (its left edge extended to the left of the left margin a bit), and it was set to be manual. Just how do we want our tables to mesh with the margins, or don't we?

I'll check a few other things later, but I was up all night and my eyes are getting blurry.
