I click on "Style Guide," the URL:
http://oooauthors.org/en/authors/userguide3/res3/style_guide_V2.odt
comes up in my browser and nothing else happens. The Microsoft circle
indicating a page is loading stops, but no page is displayed.
When I click on "Writing OOo Guides" in the same area, I get a message
saying:
The item you requested does not exist on this server or cannot be
served.
Am I doing something incorrectly, or am I possibly just in the wrong
place?

Those are dead links for me too. Try browsing the Web site for both
version 2 and version 3 files and see if they are still parked somewhere.
