I'm Eric Bachard, from the OpenOffice.org Education Project (+ gsl,
fr and porting projects too) , and contributor for OOo since a while
already. Mainly as domain developer, for Mac port, but not only. What
you do is really interesting, and we appreciate your effort.
I'm there for two reasons : firstly because EducOOo, a non profit
association is associated with Framasoft ( http://www.framasoft.net )
and would like to translate "Getting started with OOo" in french. The
work is already started, and we did some progress.

Secondly, I got a question about the french site of OOoAuthors :
http://oooauthors.org/fr/ This site is currently unmaintained, and
closed, and I'm volunteer to reopen and find resources for it. If you
are interested, please explain me how to proceed for the
autorizations (looks like it's not possible to log in, nor create an
account at the moment).
Waiting, I did subscribe to this list, and will act as contact with
you for the book translation (maybe other will join soon).
