What I found convenient as well is to set up a mailing list dedicated to
the translating of OOoAuthors guides, as this list is mainly in English,
but please let us know about achievements. When I set up the Dutch
translations pages I started in translating/reworking the welcome page
and http://oooauthors.org/en/authors/userguide3/contribute and the
related pages.
The chapter template is also very handy, so you have immediately all
styles and formatting.

I'm there for two reasons : firstly because EducOOo, a non profit
association is associated with Framasoft ( http://www.framasoft.net )
and would like to translate "Getting started with OOo" in french. The
work is already started, and we did some progress.

(looks like it's not possible to log in, nor create an account at the

Well, at first you need to ask for an author role to get the
adequate rights ... ;) I have given you the author as well as the
managers role, so you should be able to work at oooauthors.org ...
;) I am not sure, if I have to change some zope settings as well
(have not done it for a while, sorry ... :( ), so if there is any
further problem feel free to ask here again. Maybe you need to
log out and log in again to do your first steps ... ;)
You should read the English section (or if you are able to read
German, you may have a look at our site at oooauthors.org/de) first,
where you find further instruction about how to start here ... ;)
Waiting, I did subscribe to this list, and will act as contact with you
for the book translation (maybe other will join soon).
