I've found that new grad students that are not trustworthy with "root"
level access and too overwhelmed to learn system command syntax greatly
benefit (as does the sys admin, also a grad student, not having to context
switch from research to mounting/umouunting removable devices) from the
entries for floppy and zip drives.  Moreover, the entries provide a
framework for someone new to autofs to tinker with a simple scenario.  I
recommend keeping the strange entries in the auto.misc "example" file.
