Well, the box on which it's source depot is hosted is organized as Avalon dependant
sub projects
site. FtpServer is there too, and both it and Jesktop slavishly copy Avalon binaries
from a
directory "AvalonCommon". That depot also holds tools/* and lib/xerces.jar so as to
minimise the
cost of multiple synchronization/checkout. It's something we evolved towards having
tried
multiple other configurations. Like Apache projects and unlike Sourceforge, you have
to do you
own xdocs style site. I think that's superior too :-)

I'll try to put together a case and a plan, before I go to TPTB. The writer of a doc
always has a
duty to polish it before publication as every minute spend, saves hundreds amongst the
recipients.
