It's in the archives somewhere. IIRC people were complaining about the
excessive typing required.

jeff@expresso:~/apache/jakarta/jakarta-avalon-excalibur$ find . -name
"excalibur" | grep -v avalon | grep src | grep -v test
./assembly/src/java/org/apache/excalibur
./cache/src/java/org/apache/excalibur
./tar/src/java/org/apache/excalibur
./altrmi/src/java/org/apache/excalibur

./baxter/src/java/org/apache/excalibur
./bzip2/src/java/org/apache/excalibur
./instrument/src/java/org/apache/excalibur
./container/src/java/org/apache/excalibur
./fortress/examples/src/java/org/apache/excalibur

./fortress/src/ng/org/apache/excalibur

./util/src/java/org/apache/excalibur
./sourceresolve/src/java/org/apache/excalibur
./threadcontext/src/java/org/apache/excalibur
./configuration/src/java/org/apache/excalibur
./converter/src/java/org/apache/excalibur

Personally I don't care how 'non-optimal' the o.a.excalibur package name
is deemed. I'd prefer to keep it rather than continue to jerk users
around with package renaming.
