Ok, I'm easy with that, but I thought it would actually be more work for the reviewer that way.

Because in that case I don't mark my changes and it won't be immediately visible to the reviewer what I changed. Unless you have a clever diff tool, in which case I'd ask for a pointer to this tool. Note that in this case you won't have a small number of substantial changes like in bugfixes, but a large number of small changes (fixing typos etc.) of which you will throw some out again.

The other way, with changes marked, just involves an editor that can search for the marker string. Obviously, for me it's less work not to mark, so if that's what the developers prefer, fine :)
