Usually no longer than 45 minutes, using the DivX ;-) Low-Motion codec
with a bitrate of 900, accompanied by an mp3 stream of 128kbps.

My thoughts on that were to add 1 (one) entry to the user's crontab
on first installation of a pvr program. This entry runs a program
each minute, which runs the actual time table management. Combined with
a a virtual interface (such that you can attach any kind of
interface/GUI to it you want), this should make for a nice all-in-one
application that can be adjusted to anyone's tastes.
