hey themightyatom essentially, the view defaults to a 'no clipping' state as anything outside the bounds of the stage is invisible anyway, and you may as well apply clipping to invisible triangles....
there already exists a clipping parameter in the view constructor - is this what you were originally having trouble with? glad the solution worked for you!
