you got 3 options for MD2 ;)

1. export from Misfit (you can define animation frame name)

2. export from MilkShape (not sure i can define frame name somewhere)

3. export with max script (as i remember, it can define frame name)
http://www.sixwater.com.cn/downloads/md2export.zip

you best choice would be 3rd, in case you already have animation in max,
it's a bit fancy while setup script+export, but it work well just don't give
up and follow the guide in there
