Hi Guys,

I'm learning away3d and I'm doing my best to not bother anyone with my
questions. But I've got a headache and need some advice from you more
experienced Awayers.

I've a scene that has an animated bird that pecks and flaps.
It's an MD2 file.
What I want to do is to replicate it so that I have a flock of birds
that peck and flap.

My main question is what is the best way of doing this?
IE - which way uses Away3d's strengths the best?

So far I've looked into cloning it:
bird2 = new ObjectContainer3D();
bird2.addChild(birdMesh.clone());

This works, except that I don't seem able to change the material on
any of the clones.

Is it possible to change the material of a clone?
Also, is there an advantage to using clones rather than just creating
new meshes?

Also, I've had a look at the 1000 Marios. This seems like a great way
forward but at the moment I'm thinking that that method would only
work with DAEs. Is this true? Or could I replicate my MD2 birds the
same way?

Cheers guys - hope you can help/point me in the right direction.
