We like Adobe, and Adobe like us. I'm sure they're not out to shoot us down. ;)
If we do get proper 3D support in Flash Player, the main strength of Flash over competitors will be (as it has been historically) market penetration. The Flash Player is everywhere, while Unity and ShiVa for example do not have very big installed bases at all. Justin, (is that your name?) rest assured that investing time and resources in Away3D for long and short-term projects will not be of waste! :) Cheers /Richard On Jul 30, 5:08 pm, Michael Iv <[email protected]> wrote: > I am too skeptical on an idea that the upcoming fp updates will be even > close to Unity3d (just for a comparison) in the near or not so near future. > Also even if it will bring some formidable improvements in 3d rendering > capabilities I still believe that you will have to write your own 3d engne > or use such great libs like Away3D ;)) > P.S > But if you look for some hard core 3d engine for the web I would recommend > Unity3D ( I hope I will not get banned from here after these words.
