I hear you. But I'm betting the network-deployment hurdles will retreat rapidly (similar to the online-video hurdles a few years ago...when bandwidth/player/compression improvements quickly stepped up to fill the gap.) The real issue here is workflow and productivity. Before this week, we had the lineup of prefab, Away3D and Lite for low-poly 3D. However, yesterday's announcements opens the door to what would otherwise requires us to leverage game-dev platforms for greater realism. A single workflow...based on Actionscript...across the entire poly spectrum. For that tradeoff, I can be very patient/creative with networking limitations. Adobe and the Away3D team rock! (Can we order bobbleheads?)
