Thanks for the reply. Yes, I've noticed that to be the pattern. pretty
much 99% of tutorials rely heavily on Number3D.
My FLINT is a week old. I've had a version from hell-knows-when, but
when I've encountered the Number3D reference issues, I immediately
updated to the fresh version. Most of FLINT problems went away, but
one or two are still around. For now I am getting around that with
commented code and trace instead of effect, but I would like to fix it
eventually.

And Fernando, I am aware that downloading the earlier version would
enable Number3D, but I prefer to use the latest framework.

For now this is not mission critical but I will keep poking around.
