Well, I agree. But don't have all use cases in mind sometimes.

Yes, it did work, and it still works partly: wiboxes are now opaques,
unless you have some compositing manager, and I don't think we can't
make them transparent (or please, give ma hint, I'm still discovering X).

You don't. Did not find a way to manage this (unless using compositing
manager).

That makes me fell we will maybe end up with compositing in awesome
soon, haha.
