For gdm, you can launch gdmflexiserver to create a new session (I don't
know for the other display managers, consult the documentation). For
locking, there is slock/xlock/whaterverlockyoulikebest, logout is
nothing more then a awesome.quit().

Just put those in some menu and you should be done.
