If you like, we can take this up with the XML PMC or the Apache board,
but as a member of both, I can confidently state that it is not the
intention of Apache to host projects which, by virtue of their
dependencies, become suitable for development purposes only. The likely
resolution would be the request for the expulsion of the xml-axis-wsif code.
This being said, the resonable course of action is to take this as an
issue which is being worked, and provide a grace period of, say, 90
days. In other words, either JROM needs to be provided under a suitable
license (e.g., Apache Software License, IBM Public License, Common
Public License), or the dependency from WSIF to JROM must be dropped or
made optional, or the xml-axis-wsif cvs tree will be removed.
Is this acceptable to all?
