You know that kind of makes some sense because my grand mothers husband which someone found for me on the Minho site (Manuel Jose Caramujo) father Manuel Jose Floria and mother Francisca de Jesus were from Pico. I think my grand mother must have known his family or the families may have know each other before they came to this country. I will research that also. Now that Marcio Borba gave me some names and dates? I hope I find out that it may be them he found on Sao Jorge. I still have not figured out where the Holmes came from if their name was Sousa?
