Flickr is a web site for photo sharing. I typed in Sao Jorge and got almost 25,000 entries. Sao Jorge Acores got about 1500 entries. You'll have to play around with it.
http://www.flickr.com/ Sending photos to the list for identification and comparison purposes is great. However, many in the reading audience do not have a broadband or high speed connection. Too many photos will tie up their computer and I'll get to hear about it. For general sharing, please email each other directly or use Flickr.
