Dear Tish Meals
I translated it literaly as follow below. However I think that priest was a
little drunk,
first he seemed very confused, and begining mixing the position of the grand
parents,
he wasnt sure who was paternal or maternal grand parents,
second he mentioned the priests name as same as the grand parent Lourenco
I dont believe catholic priests or reverends were married, and in this case,
being a priest
how could he possibly have a grandchild.

Ana, legitimate daughter of Nicolao Maria de Figueiredo e Bernardina Rosa de
Chaves,  from this Parish of  Church of Lady  Santa Barbara, from Sao Lourenco,
on this Iland of Santa Maria, residents at Lagos, paternal grand daughter of
Alexandre Francisco de Chaves and his wife Coleta Rosa,  and maternal de
Lourenco Jose, I mean, paternal grand daughter of Lourenco Jose de Figueiredo
and his wife Maria Rosa, and maternal granddaughter of Alexandre Francisco de
Chaves and Coleta Rosa, all from this Parish, born on Jun 7, 1833 at her
parents Parish, was baptized on 13 of the same month and year by the Reverend
Lourenco Jose de Figueiredo, its Priest .
God parents were Manoel Joaquim de Figueiredo, single, and Rosa Jacinta, also
single, he, the fathers brother, she the mothers brother of the baptized.
Witnesses the above mentioned Lourenco Jose de figueiredo and Alexandre
Francisco de Chaves, that with me signed on the same day, month and year.

(signature of the witnesses)

Hi
I was hoping someone could help me with a translation. The record is from Santa
Barbara, Island of Santa Maria.
I photographed this from microfiche and if anyone is interested will tell you
what machine, camera, etc was used.
