Hi Rosemarie, I don't have any record of these Cabral de Melo's going to Urzelina, Sao Jorge. I only have one Domingos Cabral de Melo in my file right now and he was born in 1724, son of Maria Cabral de Melo and Domingos Furtado.

They were deteriorating then. Dec 1691 (that's all that can be read), a Manoel (surname unreadable), son of an unreadable da Costa(?), deceased, and Barbara Correia of Nordestinho married a Maria Cabral, daughter of a Caligto de (Macads) and a (Ursula) Furtada. That's the earliest I can find. The Nordestinho marriages start 1700s. So if Barbara married where she was from, you won't find the marriage in the film. That is, if it's the right Barbara.
