A record with errors in it is not unique, for the reasons I gave, but, we should try to correct them when and where they appear. As I mentioned previously, Southhampton, is not a place in RI, but then, neither is there a South Portsmouth. There is however a town named Portsmouth, where some of my Mendonca ancestors settled.
