The original title of this strand was "Traveling to Azores -
Accommodation in San Miguel (Valley of Furnas)," so I'm posting a bit
re dining in Furnas.

Although I've only stayed in Ponta Delgada, twice I've had lunch out
at Furnas, both times excellent. First time was at the Terra Nostra
Garden Hotel, second time Furnas' "cozido" (legendary boiled dinner
cooked in ceramic pot in a hot spring) at the Restaurante O Miroma in
the center of town (I don't know whether reservations are required for
the latter, but you could always have your hotel concierge or whoever
check for you). Bom apetito, Katharine.
