Mike,

Here's a hint:

http://www.neps.ics.uminho.pt/geneweb/gwd.exe?b=piedade;lang=en;p=jose+leal;n=rosa;oc=1

The NEPS website will give you some dates that you can then look up on the CCA
website and see the actual document. You can then verify whether what's written
on NEPS is correct or find your own truth.

Subject: [AZORES-Genealogy] where should I go now

A researcher found and translated my great great grandmothers Baptism record
and from it I got the following information:
On 15 March 1868, in the parish church of Nossa Senhora da Piedade, council of
the village of Lajes do Pico,
baptized an individual of the feminine sex, to whom he gave the name ofMaria,
who was born in this parish at 10AM on the 7th day of March, her father was
Joze Lial da Roza and mother was Francisca dos Anjos.
Her paternal grandparents were Francisco Lial da Roza and Anna Maria, her
maternal grandparents were Joaquim Lial Roza and Roza Maria.
They were all natives of this parish, married in this parish of which they
areparishioners, and residents in the neighborhood of "Cruz do Redondo.

I next obtained Joze Lial da Rosa and Francisca dos Anjos marriage record but
didn't give me anything I didn't already know but for one thing, Joze was
married once before and had other children, both of his wives were connected
his first wife in the 3rd and 4th degree, and to my GGgrandmothers mom in the
2nd degree.
I know this is a lot of info and maybe not explained to well, but who's record
should I aim for next, my GGgrandma's siblings? her parents baptism and
birth?(which is my choice)....Mike
