That's a good idea.  Try to get used to the handwriting.  Depending on the
time period, you might notice that "filho legitimo" is 1/4 or 1/3 of the
way down, with the baby's name.  You'll notice the slant.  These letters
are "tall" in handwriting: f, l, h, l, t.  These dangle below: g.  So
you'll get used to picking out "filho legitmo" because of the slant and the
height of the letters.  In a couple of months, you'll scratch your head and
wonder why you thought it was so hard.
