Mike, you will get it I put off going thru the records for 15 years because I was scared of having to decipher the writing and worried that I would not be a100% sure I had the right couple. But my ex grandmother inlaw (if there is such a thing HA) is 93, so time was running out.I knew how to read Spanish from being half Spanish and then took Spanish I and Spanish II this last year and I can actually understand alot better now. Since Portuguese and Spanish is similar. So I finally started going through the records and I had help with some lines from George Pacheco and Joao Ventura. But expanded on their work and have done some on my own back to 1500's.
So the moral is you can do it, just keep saying that to yourself and you will. If you need help just ask, I will have more time though after Aug 30, when classes for me are done until I get into a nursing program next year.
