Also, I have some info on members of the Manoel de Medeiros Brilhante x Umbelina Joanna Medeiros (or Macedo) family. They link to my ancestral tree (the Mellos may as well). Finally, your Tavares Pereira GGF may have simply used the surnames of both father and mother to arrive at Tavares Pereira - just as mine did.
