You are correct about this line connecting to Craig Cameron Mello. His family was one of the one the de Mello Castanho's that immigrated to the East Coast. I had originally missed this family in research because his ancestor Eugenio de Mello (aka Mello Castanho) had been listed for a passport to Hawaii. I spent years trying to find them in the records in Hawaii. Then, when the passports came online, I found that they never went to Hawaii. A couple of years later there was another passport for Massachusetts. Craig descends from Antonio de Mello. I descend from Antonio's brother Felicianno Francisco de Mello and his wife, Rosa Jacintha Botelho (my 3rd great grandparents--this line then connects to the de Braga's) Are you related to Francisco Luis de Medeiros and Josefa de Mello?
