The 29 Apr 1702 marriage between Manuel do Rego Baldaia and Barbara Rodrigues is the link I was looking for. This record ties their son Joao do Rego and his second wife Maria de Sao Jose to my line through their daughter Joanna do Rego Baldaia. The Excel chart helps me track the names. The only question is unquestionable proof that Maira Bicuda and Maria de Sao Jose are the same person. I believe she is as after searching the records thoroughly for the time period and the 24 Sep 1853 marriage is the only record that fills the bill.
I have attached a GEDCOM from the CM Cd that Fr. Viveiros did. It gives the line back to Diago Pires do Rego Rick Richard Francis Pimentel Epping, NH From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of JR Sent: Friday, December 19, 2014 10:41 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] Re: Need second set of eyes Estrela Baptism 1759 I think Barbara Pacheco is this same Barbara Rodrigues http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/SMG-RG-ESTRELA-C-1697-1718/SMG-RG-ESTRELA-C-1697-1718_item1/P59.html Test- Padre Francisco Nunes Rocha and Padre Domingos Luiz, sacristao certified 1) oct 18- 1799, Anna Joaquina, 2) April 29- 1776 Manoel do rego Baldaia, 3) Jun 18- 1882, Jose Francisco do Rego JR On Thursday, December 18, 2014 9:08:57 PM UTC-5, Richard Francis Pimentel wrote: This is the Obito of Isabel de Paiva on 10 Aug 1753 – he remarries on 24 Sep 1753 – must have needed a baby sitter real bad. http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/SMG-RG-ESTRELA-O-1749-1768/SMG-RG-ESTRELA-O-1749-1768_item1/P46.html lower left. Manuel da Silva Tavares and Rosa Jacinta m 8 Dec 1838 in Ribeirinha. The great grandparents of Manuel are Joao and Maria de Sao Jose. If Joanna do Rego Baldaia is the daughter of Joam do Rego (Rego Baldaia according to CM) and Maria Bicuda (AKA Maria de Sao Jose) then the line goes back to 1380 and Diago Pires do Rego. The CM disk does not have the second marriage of Joao do Rego to Maria Bicudo. He does have one daughter from the first marriage Maria Rosa born about 1753. I am going to have to look for the death of his first wife Isabel da Incarnaciao Paiva and see if the dates line up. From his second marriage I have found two daughters Anna (Anna Felecia do Rego Baldaia) and Joanna (Joanna Baptista do Rego Baldaia).
