Thanks Ricardo, Barcelos is a city where I've had my eye on for over a year
now as being a significant source of settlers to Pico island along with
Porto and Viana do Castelo just my gut and looking at various things. Would
have been a significant population center during the time of settlement.
The collecting of settlers I think would have been done along the rivers on
small boats, Barcelos is near the Cavado river very convenient for
recruitment.
