Yes, or "Cateu" or "Coter". No argument there. It may well not be his record, but it was the only WWI registration record I found that came close when I searched using the Familysearch.org site.
His birth year, wife's name and general location are right. If the date of birth and/or address can be confirmed, it would strengthen the case for it being his record. best, Linda On Monday, October 12, 2015 at 2:54:03 PM UTC-7, John Vasconcelos wrote: > > > > *I read the name as Joseph Caton* > > *John Vasconcelos* > > On Mon, Oct 12, 2015 at 10:16 AM, linda <[email protected] <javascript:> > > wrote: > >> I think this may be Joe Cotta's WWI draft registration: >> >> >> https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KZNK-LGB >> >> >> I found it the other evening and just realized that it is not one of the >> records that has already been posted in the thread. >> >> >> L. >> >> -- >> For options, such as changing to List, Digest, Abridged, or No Mail >> (vacation) mode, log into your Google account and visit this group at >> http://groups.google.com/group/Azores.
