All I have for records for José Botelho is his marriage record: On 6 April 1874, in São José, Ponta Delgada, São Miguel Island, José Botelho, 32, single, seaman, legitimate son of João Botelho and Jacinta Cândida, married to Maria Augusta, 23, single, seamstress, legitimate daughter of Jacinto de Teves and Ana de Jesus, both native of São José, Ponta Delgada, where they live in Rua deSanta Clara. Witnesses were Jacinto Inácio de Medeiros, who works in a grocery store, married, and Francisco de Teves, single, seaman, both living in the same street.
