One of my cousins told me her mom had a picture of a little girl in her
home and she asked who the little girl was and my aunt told her she was a
daughter she had with a French man while living in the Azores.
Unfortunately, the little girl passed away. My aunt was sad as her other
sisters were coming to the U. S. so he encouraged her to come with them for
a visit. She came and stayed here and did not go back to the Azores. This
would have been ca 1890-1900. So there were still French people there
during that time period.
