The Azores islands are 9 islands west of Portugal. They are an autonomous region of Portugal. The Madeira islands is another archipelago of only 2 inhabited islands, more southwest of Portugal. They too are an autonomous region of Portugal. Madeiran wine does indeed come from Madeira. There's a region on Terceira in the Azores that makes wine too (possibly Biscoitos - somewhere around there).
