Legacy Family Tree, a genealogy software, is having a sale through Monday,
November 26th.

The basic software, usually $34.95 USD is on sale for $17.48. Other
products are on sale too: https://goo.gl/C93xVF

You can download their Standard Edition (free) at www.legacyfamilytree.com

See how you like it. I'm guessing the other companies will have sales too.

Yes, Legacy is a Windows/PC software. Currently, you can use it if you are
a Mac running VM Fusion, Parallels, and BootCamp (I think). I'm not a Mac
user, but Kathy Cardoza is and she runs lots of Windows products on her Mac
and uses Legacy. (Note: The Mac version of Legacy Family Tree is still
under development as of August 2017).

Why have a genealogy software program on your computer when you use
Ancestry, My Heritage, Geni, FamilySearch, or whatever on the Internet? 1)
You have more tools at your disposal. 2) You have more ways to analyze your
data. 3) You can print charts 4) There's mapping features. 5) You can back
it up to the Legacy cloud so if your computer goes on the blink, you'll
have a back up. I'm sure there's many more. The online vendors are more of
a family tree display. You can have your genealogy software program, create
a Gedcom, and upload it to your online tree. Legacy syncs with My Heritage
and FamilySearch (well, if you want it to).
